My personal opinion, yes, but dammit, that's my right as a citizen.

ObCrystal: if the CM ever screwed up this bad, you'd give him over to the crazed Singers...

Hi all, Joven, the Sec Chief here.

Trying to develop detectives within the security force, but need reasons for them to exist.
I am attempting to encourage people to send in plots and plans for what we can do to increase RP. Either send it to my +mail on Crystal or you can email me at dalost1 (at) gmail dot com.

Subject:recruit updates
Security:Public

Arthur has adapted and is now a member of the Cuttertechs. Stephen and Xi are now in New Arrivals going through the symbiosis.

Stephen's symptoms are: This recruit seems to think that he is in the deepest level of Hell, trapped in a vision right out of Dante. Recruits, he sees as lost souls (including all of Xi's phantoms,) other guild members are imps. Meditechs he sees as shadowy, indistinct demons with balefire eyes. Some of these (the Redwings) are Fallen Angels, the reapers of souls, their armor and helms diabolical when they appear. The only exception to this is Imetia, who appears to him as a protector, an Angel of Mercy.

Xi's symptoms are: This recruit is definitely confused, but who wouldn't be? Aside from the standard symptoms associated with adaptation illness, which include a high fever with sweats and chills, she seems to be having something of a crisis of person. Not personality, person.
As the days go on, this recruit seems to encounter hallucinations of herself wearing different clothes and having different personalities.
There is Richer-than-God-Xi, for whom only the best foods, the best drinks, the best clothes, the best perfumes will do. Any less is an assault on her sensibilities.
There is Mechanic-Xi, for whom the life is buried deep inside the engine of a sled (or anything else mechanical), who could care less about most other things, including food and basic hygiene.
There is Maternal-Xi, a woman obviously very pregnant, yet still wandering around picking up clothes from her other children and cleaning off people's shining happy faces.
There is Rebellious-Xi, taking the color of her hair to extremes - by wearing hotpants and midriff-baring tight shirts, and playing an electric guitar, doing all the things that Maternal-Xi would be ashamed of!
There is also Responsible-Xi. She's the one that wears the huge glasses, has normal-colored hair, and the disturbing propensity to know exactly what the *proper* thing to do is, and to do it.
There is Creative-Xi, wearing a painters cap and carrying an easel, working on her greatest work yet, something that will stun the audiences and deliver her her accord.
There are many other personalities that show up as well, but these are the prevalent ones. Of course, the most frightening part of this is that she doesn't seem to be aware which one of these personalities is her *real* one. All of them seem to be real at the time that she is 'inhabiting' them. A better question might be... which one will be real after she's not sick anymore?

AHEM *peers* That is the spammiest med-desc I have ever seen.

Also, ya'll, anyone can post updates and things here. I'm just doing it because no one else is. :)

PS - Remember: Guild Mtg Sat Aug 20 10pm EDT

Subject:Class 2055 Update
Security:Public

Hey all! Just a quick update: The Big Storm was last night, resulting in two recruits coming down with the adaptation illness - Caoimhe and Arthur.

Caoimhe's state is: The pipes, the pipes are calling. Caoimhe has a lot of typical adaptation signs - swollen tongue, extreme fever - along with a few that are a tad strange - extreme hunger and thirst, along with an occasional dizziness. The real odd thing is that the intense fevers have caused her to go into a delirium that seems to have propelled her back to Scotland. All of her actions are ruled by Scottish culture - she'll try all sorts of Scottish things, including the caber toss (if she can find anything close to a huge log to toss - perhaps pillow cushions will work?) Also, she seems to have gained quite a taste for beer (though anything she drinks - even water - tastes like beer.) Also, everything she eats tastes like haggis, regardless of what she eats. And when her fever spikes? Well. She begins to hear wonderful bagpipe music and usually has an urge to do a traditional Scottish dance. No matter what she does, it's Scottish. Apparently she's been dragged back to her roots.

Arthur's state is: The symbiont has caused this recruit to come down with a rather strange illness. Along with the common fever and dry throat, Arthur has come down with an acute case of arthritis - painful joints - along with odd hallucinations. Somehow he thinks he's become attuned to machinery, with his joint problem merely being the result of rust and not enough oil. To replenish himself, he'll only drink dark liquids - coffee, iced tea or dark colas. Water, however, might rust him further and cause pain, and he'll often stay away from it. Other than this, he also seems to believe he can speak to anything mechanical and will often carry on conversations with pieces of machinery in the room. They talk back to him, of course, but only in ways he can hear.

As the recruits drop, feel free to come on down to the Infirmary level to pay them a visit - or if you prefer, hang out in the recruit lounge to torment those yet to fall ill.

Subject:Update for those who have been away
Security:Public

Hi all,

I've decided to write a little update for those who have been gone from the game (CrystalMUSH) for a while. Currently we are up to class 2054, a lovely bunch of recruits who are down on Ballybran, awaiting symbiosis. The Big Storm Drop is scheduled for this coming Thursday, June 2nd, 5pm Pacific, 8pm Est. Now would be a perfect time for older players to return and give the new blood a piece of their mind! RP, have fun, torture the recruits with dirty sleds, cartons to be hauled, overall snobbery.. or you can be nice, too.. but what fun is that? ;)

Some tidbits on the recruits I am familiar with: Abigail refuses to clean any more sleds after her first one, and has been feigning illness to get out of it. She's kind of uptight too, and she is from Taal'en. Imetia is sweet and caring, and is hoping desperately to become a Medic. Zeyn is a trouble maker and tried to sandblast a sled, and his general mouthing off led Security to confine him in New Arrivals for a few days. Katreena is a relative of someone in the guild, she thinks, and has been digging around to find more information about her family. That's about all I can remember for now... we've certainly an eclectic bunch:)

The Medical Department has a new Chief, Kelira, and Deputy Chief, the insane Vladmir VonZourich. He can be seen around the complex wearing his "deathsuit" and is randomly accompanied by a small team of Medics, in similiar suits, flying into the ranges in their medical sleds on rescue missions.

I'm not sure what the changes in any other departments have been, since I've only a Medic character for now. But there is one sure fire way to find out! Come and see for yourself :)

UPDATE - The game is down for the weekend, and we do not know when it will be back up since it is a holiday and all. We do have a refuge at OrgMUX - orgmux.com 6700 in room #5689.

See ya!

A lot has happened to Sora these past few (ic)months. She's successfully seeing patients again, and has gotten used to the new leadership in the medical department. She's taken a while to warm up to Deputy Chief Vladmir, and now she actually feels comfortable in his presence. Whatever happened with Quinn still remains a mystery to her, though she is not one to pry.

The Deputy brought her attention to his project, the RedWings, and after hearing about it she went straight to the Simulators and finished all of her remaining Sim tests left over from her recruit days, when she had only completed two. She passed with a perfect score, and soon after she was accepted into the RedWing Fleet.

I have logs, but they need to be seriously cleaned up before I can add them to my website. I've submitted them to the Logs yahoo group, they're pending approval.

My latest project has been redesigning the CM website, currently at www.visi.com/~gyles19/CM . My redesign can currently be seen here: http://www.goddessmandala.com/CrystalMUSH/index.html

I would also like to learn more about the Mush's code - I've read the Mush Manuals, but they only go so far. Any ideas where else I can turn to?
